Ingredients:

For The Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mirin (or substitute rice vinegar or white vinegar)
For The Noodles:

  • 7 ounces dry noodles (200 g, linguine pasta works well too)
  • 3 tablespoons butter (salted or unsalted)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 2 teaspoons minced ginger
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 2 teaspoons white sesame seeds
Instructions:

Cook The Noodles:

  1. Cook the dry noodles in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Avoid overcooking to prevent them from becoming soggy.
  2. Once cooked, drain the noodles and toss them in 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil to prevent sticking. You can refrigerate them in an airtight container for up to 4 days if preparing ahead.
Make The Sauce:

  1. In a bowl, mix together dark soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, and mirin. Set aside.
Stir Fry The Noodles:

  1. Heat butter and sesame oil in a skillet or wok over high heat.
  2. Once hot, add chopped onions, minced ginger, and minced garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until lightly browned.
  3. Add the prepared sauce mixture and cooked noodles to the skillet. Toss everything together to coat the noodles evenly with the sauce.
  4. Season with salt and ground pepper to taste. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  5. Sprinkle white sesame seeds over the noodles and serve immediately.
Enjoy these delicious Hibachi Noodles as a satisfying meal or side dish!
