Absolutely, I'd love to share a recipe for some tasty bread! Here it goes:
Ingredients:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup warm water (about 110°F)
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (or 1 packet)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats, plus extra for topping
- 2 1/2 - 3 cups all-purpose flour
- Extra melted butter for brushing (optional)
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add in the honey, melted butter, salt, and oats. Stir until well combined.
- Gradually add in the all-purpose flour, about 1/2 cup at a time, stirring well after each addition. Once the dough starts to come together and pulls away from the sides of the bowl, turn it out onto a lightly floured surface.
- Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes, adding more flour as needed, until it's smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm, draft-free place for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or until doubled in size.
- After the dough has risen, punch it down gently to deflate it. Shape it into a loaf and place it in a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan. Cover it again and let it rise for another 30-45 minutes, until it's puffy and almost doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Sprinkle some oats on top of the loaf for extra texture, if desired.
- Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes, or until it's golden brown on top and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 5 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, slice and serve your delicious homemade honey oat bread! Enjoy it toasted with a pat of butter or use it to make sandwiches for a tasty and satisfying meal.
