Ingredients

for 2 servings
  • 12 oz skinless salmon(340 g)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
HONEY SOY MARINADE
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons ginger, minced
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ⅓ cup less sodium soy sauce(80 mL)
  • ⅓ cup honey(115 g)

Preparation

  1. Place the salmon either in a sealable bag or a medium-sized bowl.
  2. Combine the marinade ingredients in a small bowl or measuring cup.
  3. Cover the salmon with half of the marinade, reserving the rest for later use.
  4. Allow the salmon to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. In a medium pan, warm the oil over medium heat. Add the salmon to the pan and discard the used marinade. Cook the salmon for approximately 2-3 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  6. Transfer the cooked salmon from the pan. Pour the reserved marinade into the pan and simmer until it thickens to a sauce-like consistency.
  7. Serve the salmon with the sauce alongside a side of vegetables, such as broccoli.
  8. Enjoy!
