How can you tell when brownies are perfectly baked?

You can tell brownies are perfectly baked when the edges are slightly firm and pulling away from the sides of the pan, and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs clinging to it, but not wet batter. The center should be set but still soft, as they will continue to firm up as they cool.
 
I think checking the edges is key. If they're firm and slightly pulled away, 🍫 the brownies are probably ready.;)
