How many days can chocolate buttercream frosting hang out before it's not good anymore?

Sweet treat squad! I've made some chocolate buttercream frosting, and it's a bit more than I need right now. How long can this yummy goodness stay fresh in the fridge before it's time to say goodbye? Anyone know the shelf-life sweet spot? Thanks for the tips!
