Is japchae considered a main dish or more of a side?

I've always enjoyed japchae, but I've seen it served in different ways. Some say it's a main course, while others treat it as a side dish. What's your take on this? I'm curious to hear everyone's opinions and experiences!:cool:

Japchae can be both 😋😃 I think it depends on the portion size and what else is being served ..If it's a big plate with maybe some veggies, it's definitely a main course for me. But with smaller portions alongside other Korean dishes, it's more of a side. So versatile! 💯

Korean cuisine's japchae, which consists of glass noodles, veggies, and occasionally meat, can be eaten as a main course or a side dish. It is a cherished complement to every meal because of its adaptability. 🍜🥖
