Is pumpkin pie considered a pumpkin or a type of squash? I've always assumed that pumpkin pie is made from pumpkins, but I recently heard that it might actually be a type of squash. Can anyone clarify this for me? I'm curious to know the botanical truth behind our beloved autumn dessert!
