Here’s a fun and fabulous cocktail that’s perfect for any celebration or just when you’re feeling fancy! The Lemon-Blackberry Sparkling Lambrusco and Gin is a refreshing blend of bright citrus, juicy blackberries, bubbly Lambrusco, and herbal gin. It's easy to make and absolutely gorgeous to serve!
Ingredients:
Blackberry Gin:
Combine 1 cup gin, Âľ cup blackberries, and 1 sprig of fresh thyme in a jar. Screw on the lid and shake well. Let it infuse in a cool, dark place for 1 to 3 days, shaking occasionally. Taste daily until the flavor is just right. Strain, discard solids, and store in the fridge for up to 3 months. (Makes 1 cup.)
Simple Syrup:
In a small saucepan, heat ⅓ cup water and ⅓ cup sugar over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the syrup thickens (about 3–5 minutes). Cool completely, then store in the fridge for up to 1 month. (Makes ½ cup.)
Ingredients:
- Ice
- 1 ounce Blackberry Gin (recipe below)
- ½ ounce Simple Syrup (recipe below)
- ½ ounce lemon juice
- 3 ounces chilled Lambrusco
- 3 ounces club soda
- Blackberries and/or a thyme sprig, for garnish
- Fill a wine glass halfway with ice.
- Add Blackberry Gin, Simple Syrup, and lemon juice.
- Top with Lambrusco and club soda.
- Garnish with fresh blackberries and/or a sprig of thyme for that wow factor.
