Macau Pork Chop Sandwich Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless pork chops
- 4 slices of soft bread or sandwich buns
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Oil, for frying
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon five-spice powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- In a bowl, mix together the ingredients for the marinade: minced garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, five-spice powder, and ground white pepper.
- Season the pork chops with salt and pepper, then rub the marinade all over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the ingredients for the sauce: ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, honey, soy sauce, and mustard. Set aside.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the marinated pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Once cooked, transfer the pork chops to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
- Toast the slices of bread or sandwich buns until lightly golden.
- Assemble the sandwiches by placing a pork chop between two slices of bread and drizzling with the prepared sauce.
- Serve the Macau Pork Chop Sandwiches hot and enjoy!
