Ingredients:

  • Assorted vegetables (such as carrots, broccoli, bell peppers, snap peas, mushrooms, zucchini, etc.)
  • Olive oil or vegetable oil
  • Garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: soy sauce, sesame oil, or any other seasoning of your choice
Instructions:

  1. Wash and prepare the vegetables by chopping them into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Heat a tablespoon of olive oil or vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add minced garlic to the hot oil and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the harder vegetables like carrots and broccoli to the skillet first, stirring occasionally, and cook for a few minutes until they begin to soften.
  5. Gradually add the remaining vegetables, starting with the ones that take longer to cook and finishing with the quickest-cooking ones like bell peppers and snap peas.
  6. Season the vegetables with salt and pepper to taste, and any other desired seasonings or sauces.
  7. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until all the vegetables are cooked to your desired level of doneness. They should be tender but still slightly crisp.
  8. Once the vegetables are cooked, remove from heat and serve hot as a side dish or as a main course over rice or noodles.
