Ingredients
  • 1 bag of tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)
  • 1 pound ground beef or shredded chicken (optional)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (if using meat)
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup guacamole
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup pickled jalapeños
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 1 small red onion, diced
  • 1 lime (for squeezing over the top)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it's ready for baking the nachos.
2. Prepare the Meat (if using)
  • If using ground beef or shredded chicken, cook it in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through.
  • Drain any excess fat, then add the taco seasoning and a little water according to the packet instructions. Stir well and let it simmer for a few minutes. Set aside.
3. Layer the Chips
  • Spread a layer of tortilla chips evenly on a large baking sheet or oven-safe dish.
4. Add the Cheese and Toppings
  • Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the tortilla chips.
  • Add the cooked meat (if using), black beans, sliced black olives, and pickled jalapeños evenly over the cheese layer.
5. Repeat the Layers
  • Add another layer of tortilla chips on top of the toppings.
  • Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese on top of the second layer of chips.
6. Bake the Nachos
  • Place the baking sheet or dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7. Add Fresh Toppings
  • Remove the nachos from the oven and immediately top with diced tomatoes, diced red onion, chopped green onions, and chopped fresh cilantro.
These loaded nachos offer a tantalizing fusion of flavors and textures, perfect for any gathering or solo indulgence. With layers of crunchy chips, gooey cheese, savory meats (if desired), and vibrant toppings, every bite is a burst of satisfaction. Whether shared among friends during a game night or savored as a comforting treat, these nachos promise to elevate any moment into a fiesta of flavor. Enjoy the irresistible blend of ingredients and the joy they bring with each mouthful! ;):):)
