Onigiri are classic Japanese rice balls that come in various flavors and fillings, wrapped in nori or plain. They’re great for a quick snack, lunch, or picnic.
**Ingredients**:
- 2 cups sushi rice, cooked and seasoned with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt
- 1/4 cup filling options (e.g., pickled plum, salted salmon, or cooked chicken)
- Nori seaweed sheets (optional, for wrapping)
- Salt (for seasoning)
**Instructions**:
1. Wet your hands with water and lightly salt them to prevent sticking.
2. Take a small amount of rice and flatten it in your palm.
3. Place a small amount of your chosen filling in the center of the rice.
4. Gently mold the rice around the filling into a triangle or ball shape.
5. Wrap with a strip of nori if desired. Enjoy the tasty and convenient Onigiri!
