Oven-Fried Oysters Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint shucked oysters, drained
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  • Tartar sauce or your favorite dipping sauce, for serving
Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, cornmeal, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another shallow bowl, beat the eggs.
  4. Dip each oyster first into the beaten eggs, then coat it with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
  5. Place the coated oysters on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the oysters are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve immediately with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce.
