Ingredients:
- 1 pint shucked oysters, drained
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- Lemon wedges, for serving
- Tartar sauce or your favorite dipping sauce, for serving
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, cornmeal, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In another shallow bowl, beat the eggs.
- Dip each oyster first into the beaten eggs, then coat it with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
