  • 200g sataw (stink beans), ends trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 200g shrimp, peeled and deveined (or substitute with pork or chicken)
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2-3 Thai chilies, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp shrimp paste
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Vegetable oil for cooking
  • Fresh Thai basil leaves, for garnish (optional)
📝 Instructions:

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and chopped Thai chilies. Stir-fry until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp paste to the wok and stir-fry for about 1 minute until aromatic.
  4. Add shrimp (or your choice of meat) to the wok and cook until almost done.
  5. Add sataw (stink beans) to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
  6. Season with oyster sauce, soy sauce, and sugar. Stir well to combine.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh Thai basil leaves if desired.
