- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Season the Fillets:
- Pat the barramundi fillets dry with paper towels.
- Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Pan-Sear the Fish:
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Once hot, add the barramundi fillets skin-side down.
- Cook for 4-5 minutes, pressing lightly with a spatula to keep the skin in contact with the pan.
- Flip the fillets and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove the fillets from the skillet and set them aside.
- Make the Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce:
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium.
- Add the butter and let it melt.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- Add the lemon juice and stir, letting the sauce simmer for another minute.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.
- Serve:
- Pour the lemon garlic butter sauce over the barramundi fillets.
- Serve with lemon wedges on the side and your favorite side dishes like steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.
