Our Peppermint Bark Brownies combine fudgy brownies with a layer of creamy peppermint bark, topped with a sprinkle of crushed candy canes. Perfect for adding a sweet touch to your celebrations!

- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1/2 cup crushed candy canes or peppermint candies
Instructions
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Make the Brownies:
- In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Add the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder, and stir until just combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
- Prepare the Peppermint Bark Topping:
- Once the brownies are cool, melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 15-second intervals and stirring between each until smooth.
- Stir in the peppermint extract.
- Pour the melted white chocolate over the cooled brownies and spread it into an even layer.
- Add the Chocolate and Peppermint:
- Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a separate bowl, then drizzle the melted chocolate over the white chocolate layer.
- Use a toothpick or knife to swirl the chocolates together for a marbled effect.
- Sprinkle the crushed candy canes or peppermint candies over the top.
- Chill and Serve:
- Place the brownies in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to set the peppermint bark topping.
- Once set, remove from the pan and cut into squares.
