So, I've just been informed about a last-minute onsite work, and there’s no time to grab lunch out. But, I got an idea! Here's a simple anime-inspired bento to pack. Check it out, guys!

Ingredients:​

  • Rice: Cooked sushi rice or short-grain rice.
  • Protein: Pre-cooked chicken strips, store-bought tamagoyaki, or ready-to-eat tofu.
  • Veggies: Baby carrots, cherry tomatoes.
  • Fruits: Apple slices or grapes.
  • Condiments: Soy sauce packet, a small container of pickled ginger.

Equipment:​

  • Bento box (or any lunch box with compartments)

Steps:​

  1. Rice: Spoon into one section of the bento box.
  2. Protein: Add your choice of protein next to the rice.
  3. Veggies & Fruits: Fill other sections with veggies and fruits.
  4. Add Fun: Optional, cut a piece of nori into a simple shape like a star and place on the rice for that anime touch.
  5. Pack Condiments: Tuck in your soy sauce and ginger.
