Should I put an egg in my meatballs? Any alternatives?

Curious about adding eggs to meatballs. Is this a must for binding, or are there viable substitutes? I've heard breadcrumbs could work, but I'm eager for more options. Eggs aren't always on hand in my kitchen, so having a list of alternatives would be great. What do you guys suggest?

I usually use breadcrumbs soaked in milk. There was this one time that I tried using a bit of ricotta cheese, and it gave me similar results. Hope this helps! đź’“

Hey there! Adding eggs to meatballs definitely helps with binding, but if you're looking for alternatives, breadcrumbs are a solid choice. You could also try using a bit of Greek yogurt or even mashed potatoes to help hold everything together. Experimenting is part of the fun, so give a few options a try and see what works best for you!
