Ingredients:

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley or cilantro (optional, for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the shrimp with olive oil, minced garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to coat the shrimp evenly with the spices.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet in a single layer.
  3. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp to keep them tender.
  4. Once the shrimp are cooked through, remove them from the skillet and transfer to a serving plate.
  5. Garnish the spicy shrimp with fresh chopped parsley or cilantro, if desired.
  6. Serve the spicy shrimp immediately with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the shrimp before eating.
