Hey everyone! I wanted to share this super simple recipe for sugar-coated pecans. These are perfect if youā€™re craving something sweet and crunchy or need an easy homemade gift idea. They have this lovely cinnamon-sugar coating thatā€™s just addictive! Hereā€™s how to make them:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb pecan halves
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 250Ā°F (120Ā°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg white and water until itā€™s nice and frothy.
  3. Toss in the pecans and stir them up so theyā€™re all coated with the egg mixture.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the sugar, cinnamon, and salt until blended, then sprinkle it over the pecans and stir again until theyā€™re evenly covered.
  5. Spread the pecans out in a single layer on your prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to make sure they cook evenly.
  7. Let them cool completely (if you can wait that long!) before snacking or packing them up.
