Hey everyone! I wanted to share this super simple recipe for sugar-coated pecans. These are perfect if youāre craving something sweet and crunchy or need an easy homemade gift idea. They have this lovely cinnamon-sugar coating thatās just addictive! Hereās how to make them:
Ingredients:
- 1 lb pecan halves
- 1 egg white
- 1 Tbsp water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 250Ā°F (120Ā°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg white and water until itās nice and frothy.
- Toss in the pecans and stir them up so theyāre all coated with the egg mixture.
- In a separate bowl, mix the sugar, cinnamon, and salt until blended, then sprinkle it over the pecans and stir again until theyāre evenly covered.
- Spread the pecans out in a single layer on your prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to make sure they cook evenly.
- Let them cool completely (if you can wait that long!) before snacking or packing them up.
