Thai Peanut Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup natural unsweetened peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce (use tamari or coconut aminos for gluten-free)
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons chili garlic sauce, adjust to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 3 garlic cloves, pressed or grated
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger root
- 2-4 tablespoons warm water
- In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, chili garlic sauce, lime juice, garlic, and ginger.
- Whisk the ingredients together until fully combined.
- Gradually add warm water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency. Typically, use 2 tablespoons for a thicker sauce or up to 4 tablespoons for a thinner dressing consistency.
- Adjust seasoning to taste, adding more chili garlic sauce if desired.
- Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
