- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup bell peppers, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 cup spinach leaves
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup black olives, sliced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Crushed red pepper flakes, for a little heat
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll Out the Dough: On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle.
- Layer the Filling: Spread the marinara sauce over the dough, leaving about 1 inch of space around the edges. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
- Add the Vegetables: Layer the bell peppers, mushrooms, spinach, red onion, and olives over the cheese. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and any optional red pepper flakes. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Roll and Seal: Carefully roll the dough from one long side to the other, tucking in the ends as you go. Pinch the seam to seal it.
- Brush with Olive Oil: Transfer the stromboli to the prepared baking sheet, seam side down. Brush the top with olive oil.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the stromboli is golden brown and crispy.
- Cool and Slice: Allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing into pieces.
