My washing machine won't turn on, and I'm not sure what to check first. The machine is plugged in, but when I press the power button, nothing happens—no lights, sounds, or response at all.
I've heard this could be caused by a faulty outlet, a tripped breaker, a bad door latch, a damaged power cord, or even a failed control board. Before I spend money on replacing the washer, I'd like to know if there are any troubleshooting steps I can safely try at home.
