Garlic bread originated in Italy. Its exact origins are unclear, but it is believed to have evolved from the Italian bruschetta, which is toasted bread rubbed with garlic and olive oil. Garlic bread as we know it today, with butter and garlic spread on sliced bread and often baked until crispy, became popular in the United States in the mid-20th century. ๐Ÿง„๐Ÿž

Thats right @Kerful13 , the garlic bread was originally from Italy, and sort of as a different way of eating bruschetta, and then it became buttery and garlicky here in the US in the mid-1900s. So good! ๐Ÿค—
