  • 1 can (15 oz) white beans (such as cannellini or navy beans), drained and rinsed
    192×132
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2-3 tablespoons water (as needed for consistency)
  • Fresh parsley or paprika (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Blend Ingredients:
    • In a food processor, combine the white beans, tahini, lemon juice, and garlic. Pulse until smooth.
  2. Add Olive Oil and Seasonings:
    • With the processor running, slowly add the olive oil and continue blending until the mixture is creamy.
    • Add the cumin, salt, and pepper. Blend until well combined.
  3. Adjust Consistency:
    • If the hummus is too thick, gradually add water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.
  4. Serve:
    • Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl.
    • Garnish with fresh parsley or a sprinkle of paprika if desired.
  5. Enjoy:
    • Serve with pita bread, veggie sticks, or your favorite crackers.
