Why does my naan bread smell like vinegar?

Hey guys!!! 🙂👋 I baked my first-ever naan bread last night. It was so awesomeeee! I got so excited about it. But when I took it out of the oven, I noticed a strange vinegary smell?? I'm bugged with this result. What could have gone wrong? Any tips or suggestions will be appreciated. 🙏
 
Did you use yogurt in your naan recipe? Because sometimes yogurt can give off a tangy scent, though usually not vinegar-like.
and I also think your naan bread might smell like vinegar due to fermentation. Though, if you didn't add vinegar, it could be from over-proofing the dough 😊
 
Oh no! 😱 It might be the baking powder. If it's old or not mixed evenly, it can give off a weird smell. I'd try a fresh batch.
