Why is my banana bread always mushy?

Help me! Every time I bake banana bread, it ends up mushy. I've tried various recipes, even adjusting baking times and temperatures. Could moisture from bananas be causing this? Or maybe I'm not measuring ingredients accurately. Really could use some advice here, as I dream of perfect, fluffy banana bread.
