Why's my banana pudding always so runny?

My latest batch of banana pudding turned out way runnier than usual. I'm scratching my head here—what could be causing this? If you've conquered this problem before, I'd love to hear how you managed it! 🍮🤷‍♂️

One common culprit is not cooking the custard long enough. Make sure it thickens up nicely before you take it off the heat. Also, using full-fat milk instead of low-fat can help with the consistency. And, if you’re using a recipe that calls for cornstarch or flour as a thickener, make sure to measure it accurately and cook it long enough for it to activate. 🙂👍✨😉

I think using overly ripe bananas might be the culprit for runny banana pudding! 🍌🥣 Though, using bananas that are just ripe or slightly underripe can help maintain a thicker consistency.
