🍳 **Instructions**:
1. **Prepare the Tofu**:
- Drain the tofu and pat it dry with paper towels. To remove excess moisture, you can place the tofu between paper towels and press gently.
- Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes.
- Coat each tofu cube evenly with cornstarch, shaking off any excess.

2. **Fry the Tofu**:
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the tofu cubes in batches, without overcrowding the pan. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
- Remove the tofu with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

3. **Prepare the Sauce**:
- In a small saucepan, combine dashi, soy sauce, mirin, and sugar. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and set aside.

4. **Serve**:
- Arrange the fried tofu cubes in a serving dish.
- Pour the warm sauce over the tofu.
- Garnish with sliced green onions, grated daikon radish, bonito flakes, and sesame seeds if desired.
