I recently tried this fantastic branzino fillet recipe, and it turned out amazing! The fish was perfectly flaky and flavorful, making it a delightful dinner option. Here's how you can make it too:
Ingredients:
- 2 branzino fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh thyme sprigs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup white wine (optional)
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Rinse the branzino fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Place the branzino fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden brown.
- Carefully flip the fillets, then add the lemon slices, thyme sprigs, and white wine (if using). Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove the skillet from the oven and add a pat of butter on top of each fillet. Let it melt and mix with the juices in the skillet.
