Buttermilk Banana Cake

Whether you're a baking pro or just starting out, this recipe is sure to become a family favorite.

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas (about 3 medium bananas)
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.
2. In a small bowl, mix together the mashed bananas, buttermilk, and vanilla extract. Set aside.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
4. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
5. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until well combined.
6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the banana mixture, until everything is incorporated and the batter is smooth.
7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
9. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
10. Once cooled, you can optionally frost the cake with cream cheese frosting or serve it plain.

Thanks for sharing this, here's a little tip, to make your cake extra moist, try adding a splash of rum or bourbon to the batter. Just make sure to save some for yourself too!;)
