Can I use mayonnaise instead of sour cream in cheesecake?

Hello guys. Just want to know if you ever tried swapping sour cream for mayonnaise. I wanted to bake cheesecake but ran out of sour cream, but have a lot of mayo stock in my fridge. I am just wondering if the taste or texture would be affected.
