Perfect snacks for kids!
Ingredients:
- 1 bag of pretzel squares or pretzel snaps
- 1 bag of candy corn
- 1 cup of white chocolate chips (or candy melts)
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil (optional, for thinning the chocolate)
- Sprinkles or edible glitter (optional, for decoration)
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Arrange Pretzels: Place pretzel squares or snaps on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Add Candy Corn: Place one candy corn on top of each pretzel. If you’re using pretzel snaps, make sure they are the kind with a hole in the center to fit the candy corn nicely.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 3-5 minutes, just until the candy corn is slightly softened but not melted. Watch carefully to avoid burning.
- Cool: Remove from the oven and let the pretzels cool slightly.
- Prepare Chocolate: While the pretzels are cooling, melt the white chocolate chips. You can do this in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. If the chocolate is too thick, you can add a tablespoon of vegetable oil to thin it out.
- Drizzle or Dip: Once the pretzels are cool, you can either drizzle the melted chocolate over the top of each pretzel using a fork or dip the pretzel in the chocolate, then place it back on the parchment paper.
- Decorate: If you like, you can sprinkle some colored sprinkles or edible glitter over the top while the chocolate is still wet.
- Set: Allow the chocolate to set completely. You can speed this up by placing the pretzels in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes.
- Serve: Once the chocolate has hardened, the Candy Corn Pretzel Bites are ready to enjoy!
