- 1 lb oyster mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce or tamari
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
- Cast iron skillet
- Measuring spoons
- Knife and cutting board
- Spatula
- Clean the oyster mushrooms and trim any tough stems.
- Heat the cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
- Once the oil is hot, add the minced garlic and sautΓ© for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the oyster mushrooms to the skillet, spreading them out in a single layer. Let them cook undisturbed for about 3-4 minutes until they start to brown.
- Flip the mushrooms and cook for another 3-4 minutes on the other side.
- Sprinkle smoked paprika, soy sauce, salt, and pepper over the mushrooms. Stir to coat evenly and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
