I recently tried making my own chai at home, and it turned out to be a cozy, aromatic delight that instantly became my favorite. The blend of spices, combined with the warmth of the tea, created such a comforting drink that I couldn't help but share the recipe with you all.


Chai Recipe

Ingredients
:

- 2 cups water​
- 1 cup milk (any kind you prefer)​
- 2 tbsp loose black tea or 2 black tea bags​
- 2-3 cardamom pods​
- 1 cinnamon stick​
- 4-5 whole cloves​
- 1-2 star anise (optional)​
- 1-2 slices fresh ginger​
- 2-3 black peppercorns​
- Sugar or honey to taste​

Instructions:
1. In a pot, bring the water to a boil. Add the cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, star anise, ginger, and peppercorns. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.​
2. Add the tea leaves or tea bags and simmer for another 2-3 minutes.​
3. Pour in the milk and bring the mixture back to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for another 2 minutes.​
4. Strain the chai into cups, sweeten with sugar or honey to taste, and enjoy!​
