  • 4 chicken fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs (such as thyme, rosemary, or oregano)
  • Juice of 1 lemon

    Instructions:
  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the Chicken: Pat dry the chicken fillets with paper towels. This helps them to brown better when cooking. Season both sides of the fillets with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and dried herbs.
  3. Heat the Olive Oil: In an oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the Chicken: Once the oil is hot, add the seasoned chicken fillets to the skillet. Sear each side for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Transfer to Oven: Once the chicken fillets are browned, transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
  6. Bake: Bake the chicken fillets in the oven for about 15-20 minutes or until they are cooked through. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets. To ensure they are cooked, use a meat thermometer; the internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165°F (75°C).
  7. Finish with Lemon Juice: Once cooked, squeeze the lemon juice over the chicken fillets for a burst of flavor.
  8. Serve: Remove the skillet from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute and keeps the chicken moist. Serve hot with your favorite sides like roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or salad.
Enjoy your deliciously cooked chicken fillets!
