Hey there, fellow foodies! It's a dish that holds a special place in my heart because it's one of the first recipes I mastered in my kitchen journey. Trust me, it's simple, comforting, and absolutely delicious!
Ingredients:

Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian seasoned breadcrumbs work great)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off any excess.
- Dip the floured chicken breasts into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
- Coat the chicken breasts in the breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Place the breaded chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
- Remove the baking dish from the oven and spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of each chicken breast.
- Return the baking dish to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving, if desired.
