Ingredients
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 lime, juiced
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the Rice: Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch and makes the rice fluffy.
- Cook the Rice: In a medium pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the rice and a pinch of salt. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 18-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.
- Fluff and Cool: Remove the pot from heat. Fluff the rice with a fork and let it cool slightly.
