  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:

  3. Cream Butter and Sugar:
    • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy using an electric mixer or stand mixer.
  4. Add Wet Ingredients:
    • Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients:
    • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Fold in Chocolate Chips:
    • Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula or wooden spoon until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  7. Bake:
    • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  8. Cool and Serve:
    • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, slice and serve. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
