Cider-Cheese Fondue
Ingredients:

  • 1 clove garlic, halved
  • 1 12 ounce bottle dry hard cider or 1 1/2 cups apple cider
  • 2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
  • 8 ounces Swiss cheese, shredded (2 cups)
  • 8 ounces Gruyère cheese, shredded (2 cups)
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (2 cups)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • Assorted Dippers

Directions:
  1. Rub the halved garlic on the bottom and sides of a heavy 4- to 5-quart pot; discard the garlic.
  2. Add the cider and hot pepper sauce to the pot; bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the shredded cheeses with the cornstarch. Add the cheese mixture to the simmering cider a small handful at a time, whisking constantly until melted before adding more.
  4. Transfer the fondue to a fondue pot and serve with assorted dippers.
  5. Enjoy this delicious fondue with friends and family! Serves 8.
