Ingredients:
- 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb steak (such as sirloin or ribeye), thinly sliced
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season the sliced steak with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak slices and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the mushrooms are tender.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low. Pour in the heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and dried thyme. Stir well to combine and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the cooked steak slices to the skillet with the creamy sauce. Stir to coat the steak slices with the sauce and heat through for another minute.
- Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated with the creamy sauce and the steak is distributed throughout.
- Remove the skillet from the heat. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve the creamy steak fettuccine immediately, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
