  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon water (optional, adjust based on desired texture)

Instructions:​

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) for fudgy brownies or 350°F (175°C) for cake-like brownies. Adjust according to your preference.
  2. Prepare the Brownie Batter:
    • In a mixing bowl, empty the contents of the Ghirardelli brownie mix.
    • Add the melted butter and eggs to the brownie mix. Optionally, add 1 tablespoon of water if you prefer a slightly lighter texture.
    • Mix everything together until well combined and smooth. The batter will be thick and glossy.
  3. Prepare the Baking Pan:
    • Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan with butter or cooking spray. You can also line it with parchment paper for easier removal later.
  4. Pour and Spread the Batter:
    • Pour the prepared brownie batter into the greased baking pan, using a spatula to spread it evenly to the edges.
  5. Bake the Brownies:
    • Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake according to the package instructions or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (for fudgy brownies) or clean (for cake-like brownies). This usually takes around 45-55 minutes, depending on your oven and desired texture.
  6. Cool and Serve:
    • Once baked, remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
    • Once cooled, cut into squares and serve. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
