I'm excited to share one of my favorite recipes that always gets rave reviews from my family and friends: Grilled Squid Delight. It's a simple yet flavorful dish that's perfect for a sunny day barbecue or a cozy dinner at home. Plus, it's a great way to add some seafood goodness to your meal rotation. So without further ado, here's how to make it:
Ingredients:
- 1 lb fresh squid, cleaned and scored
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 lemon, sliced into wedges
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, chili flakes, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
- Place the cleaned and scored squid in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Make sure the squid is evenly coated with the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Once the grill is hot, place the squid on the grill grates. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the squid is opaque and lightly charred.
- Remove the grilled squid from the grill and transfer it to a serving platter. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top and sprinkle with chopped parsley for a burst of freshness.
- Serve hot with your favorite sides, such as a crisp salad or some grilled vegetables. Enjoy!
