Hamburger Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
- 3 cups peeled and thinly sliced potatoes
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook and stir ground beef until browned and crumbly, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease.
- In a medium bowl, mix condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, chopped onion, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- In a 2-quart baking dish, layer thinly sliced potatoes, followed by the soup mixture, and the browned ground beef, repeating layers as needed.
- Bake in the preheated oven until potatoes are tender, approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
- Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese over the casserole during the last few minutes of baking, and continue baking until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
