Ingredients:
- 4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp brown sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
- Season the Pork Chops: In a small bowl, mix the garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and brown sugar (if using). Rub this seasoning all over the pork chops.
- Sear the Chops: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until nicely browned.
- Add BBQ Sauce: Lower the heat to medium. Brush the BBQ sauce over both sides of the chops. Cover the skillet and cook for another 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the pork chops are cooked through (internal temp of 145°F).
- Rest and Serve: Let the chops rest for a few minutes before serving, then dig in!
