    • 1 cup rolled oats
    • 1/2 cup sunflower seed butter (or any other nut-free seed butter)
    • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
    • 1/4 cup protein powder (your choice, vanilla works well)
  • Mix-Ins:
    • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips or dark chocolate chips
    • 1/4 cup dried fruit (like cranberries or raisins)
    • 1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)
    • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flaxseeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, sunflower seed butter, honey or maple syrup, and protein powder. Mix well until fully combined.
  2. Add Mix-Ins: Stir in the mini chocolate chips, dried fruit, shredded coconut, and seeds if using. Make sure everything is evenly distributed.
  3. Form Balls: Once the mixture is well combined, use your hands to scoop out small portions and roll them into balls (about 1 inch in diameter).
  4. Chill: Place the protein balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet or a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. Store: Once firm, transfer the protein balls to an airtight container. They can be stored in the fridge for up to a week or in the freezer for longer.

Tips

  • Feel free to customize the mix-ins based on your preferences!
  • For a different flavor, you can add cocoa powder, cinnamon, or vanilla extract.
