let's have proteins!

Ingredients
- Base:
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup sunflower seed butter (or any other nut-free seed butter)
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup protein powder (your choice, vanilla works well)
- Mix-Ins:
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips or dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup dried fruit (like cranberries or raisins)
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flaxseeds (optional)
Instructions
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, sunflower seed butter, honey or maple syrup, and protein powder. Mix well until fully combined.
- Add Mix-Ins: Stir in the mini chocolate chips, dried fruit, shredded coconut, and seeds if using. Make sure everything is evenly distributed.
- Form Balls: Once the mixture is well combined, use your hands to scoop out small portions and roll them into balls (about 1 inch in diameter).
- Chill: Place the protein balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet or a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Store: Once firm, transfer the protein balls to an airtight container. They can be stored in the fridge for up to a week or in the freezer for longer.
Tips
- Feel free to customize the mix-ins based on your preferences!
- For a different flavor, you can add cocoa powder, cinnamon, or vanilla extract.
