  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground bay leaves (optional, if available)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground mace (optional, if available)

Instructions:​

  1. Mix Spices:
    • In a small bowl, combine all the spices listed above.
  2. Blend Well:
    • Stir or whisk thoroughly until all the spices are well combined.
  3. Store:
    • Transfer the Old Bay seasoning blend to an airtight container or spice jar with a tight-fitting lid.
  4. Use:
    • Use your homemade Old Bay seasoning as a seasoning for seafood (like shrimp, crab, or fish), poultry, vegetables, or even in soups and stews. It adds a flavorful kick with hints of spice and warmth.
