Ingredients:
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1 pound ground beef (or a mixture of beef and pork)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cups beef or chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart with a spoon, until fully cooked.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot with the cooked ground beef, and sauté for a few minutes until the onion is softened and translucent.
  3. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and beef or chicken broth, and stir to combine.
  4. Season the sauce with dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper, to taste. Stir well to incorporate the seasonings into the sauce.
  5. Bring the sauce to a simmer, then add the uncooked spaghetti directly to the pot, breaking it in half if necessary to fit.
  6. Use a spoon to gently push the spaghetti into the sauce, ensuring that it is fully submerged.
  7. Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover the pot, and let the spaghetti simmer for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is cooked to al dente and the sauce has thickened.
  8. While the spaghetti is cooking, roll the ground beef mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  9. Drop the meatballs directly into the simmering sauce and pasta, making sure they are evenly distributed.
  10. Continue to simmer the spaghetti and meatballs for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
  11. Once the spaghetti and meatballs are fully cooked, remove the pot from the heat.
  12. Serve the One-Pot Spaghetti with Meatballs hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley if desired.
  13. Enjoy this hearty and delicious meal with your family, and savor the convenience of cooking everything in just one pot!
Eat well! 😊
