  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    • In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients:
    • In another bowl, mix the orange juice, vegetable oil, orange zest, and egg until well blended.
  4. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
    • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
    • Fold in the chopped walnuts.
  5. Bake:
    • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
    • Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool:
    • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
